The Story

Small family winery, owned and managed by Carlos Rodriguez and his wife Emilia Gomez. Carlos is a native of Navarra, and a trained agronomist and talented winemaker. Since 2001 he has been consulting for many wineries within Spain and throughout Europe, helping them to develop their plantings, grape growing, and winemaking. Aba Solleira is a bodega that aims to put the spotlight on agriculture and scientific advances. The aim is sustainable, reasoned agriculture. The bodega allows nature to develop and does not use herbicides or mineral fertilizers. They aim to preserve microbiological life by avoiding the use of machinery to manipulate the beautiful granitic soils. The estate's philosophy is to respect the soil, the vines and life, while avoiding increasing yields to favor quality over quantity.
