The Story

Located in Samaniego, one of those places where wine is lived, Heredad de Aduna has remained throughout its history faithful to a philosophy that always places it next to the tradition established by José Martínez Aduna. A tradition, of course, dynamic and constantly evolving towards a single goal: to always achieve the best. Supported by a calcareous clay soil that limits the action of rain and humidity to just the right degree, our 30 hectares of vineyards are particularly majestic with the Tempranillo variety, which is essential for our young wines due to its intense colour and flavour, and for providing its special bouquet to the Crianza wines. The rest of their red varieties - Garnacha and Mazuelo - are used to complement the red wines, while their white wines are a wealth of sensations, thanks to Viura. The Rioja Alavesa slopes down to the Ebro on stepped south-facing hillsides. Between 400 and 700 metres above sea level, a sea of vineyards with an ochre background emerges, demanding almost personalised attention all year round. This is the essence of this land.
