The Story

Château de Suronde, located in the heart of the Quarts de Chaume appellation, produces exceptional wines from 7 hectares of biodynamic vines aged from 15 to 70 years, 100% Chenin Blanc. Owned by Kathleen Van den Berghe and Sigurd Mareels since 2016, the estate stands out for its dry, semi-dry and sweet wines, including the prestigious Quarts de Chaume and Coteaux du Layon. With over 20 years of organic practices and exceptional biodiversity, the estate applies biodynamic methods to cultivate grapes of optimal quality. Its wines, balanced between minerality and fruitiness, offer remarkable acidity, enabling them to age for several decades. Château de Suronde is also a place of artistic creation, hosting residencies for Belgian artists, whose works adorn the labels of new cuvées. The estate combines history, terroir and innovation to offer a unique winemaking experience.
