The Story
The Domaine des Maravilhas lies in St-Laurent des Arbres, and faces the Châteauneuf-du-Pape valley. It was created in 1967 by a vigneron, coming from the Oran region in Algeria. He was convinced that the soil was ideal to produce some great wines, and cleared the land and planted the emblematic grapes of the region. His elders taught him to work the vines with their future in mind, and he opted wisely to not use any kind or herbicides : that lead to the organic conversion in 1992, and the biodynamic certification in 2004. Since 2014, the estate is conducted by Jean-Frederic and Morgane Bistagne, following the biodynamic principles.
