The Story
Following in the footsteps of her father Claude Michot, Marielle has kept this passion for wine and now runs her own estate and produces two cuvées of Pouilly Fumé. His estate is developing in Pouilly with 3ha of Sauvignon with a few ares in the appellation Coteaux Charitois. Jean-Luc, Master Sommelier in France, described the estate as this : "I was blown away by her parcel-based approach, which is way different than the way her father approached the vineyard. Her wines are tense and sublimate Sauvignon Blanc. This cuvée serves as an introduction, giving us a better understanding of the domaine's philosophy. Marielle has been converting to organic farming for the past 3 years, and is in the process of taking over her father's entire vineyard. I'm telling you, Marielle will soon be one of the appellation's leading winemakers, and you need to make the most of it now, before all her wines are sold to "hype" restaurants and/or become too expensive."
