The Story
Domaine Wilfrid Rousse is located on the right bank of the Vienne river, west of Chinon : Wilfrid and Annie Rousse established their estate in 1987, in a 17th century property that, according to the legend, would have welcomed King Charles VII several times. Wilfrid farms 19 hectares in organic agriculture, planted with Cabernet Franc to produce Chinon red (only 1 hectare planted with Chenin Blanc, producing Chinon white). To maintain the pure expression of the terroirs, Wilfrid use indigenous yeast, do not filter his wines, and do not add sulfur to the wines : the barrels are aging in the traditional Tuffo cellar of the region, providing stable temperature and humidity all year long. Their son Victor joined the adventure, by producing his own wines : [La Sirène Rouge](https://brunolafonselection.com/la-sirene-rouge/)
