The Story
Descended from two ancient Beaujolais winegrowing families who have farmed their land since the early 19th century, five generations have succeeded one another on the estate since 1805, each one bringing its own contribution to the edifice. The first bottles were sold in Lyon in the 1950s, under the impetus of Corinne's grandfathers Benoît Ravier and Jean François Gonin, and Jean Philippe's grandfather Alphonse Desclas. They were among the first winemakers to deliver their bottles directly to the Bistrots et Bouchons Lyonnais. Today, the estate run by Jean-Philippe Guillot and Corinne Gonin covers 35 hectares in several Beaujolais crus, where every stage in the wine-making process, from vine cultivation to vinification and bottling, is in their hands.
