The Story

In 1964, Lucien Dauny, driven by an innovative vision, converted the entire family estate to organic farming. This bold initiative, motivated by his discovery of natural medicines, would take years of adaptation before a lasting balance was achieved. From the 1970s onwards, positive results confirmed this avant-garde approach. Passed on to Christian and Nicole in 1975, the estate gradually evolved towards an exclusively winegrowing activity, officially becoming Vignoble Dauny in 1985. Today, with Benoît and Thibaut, representatives of the 13ᵉ generation, the 16.82-hectare vineyard is asserting itself as an emblematic player in organic Sancerre, recognized in France and internationally. With a history dating back to 1683, Vignoble Dauny embodies tradition, innovation, and an exemplary commitment to organic and sustainable viticulture.
