Domaine Loew is a family winery located next to Strasbourg. It was founded in 1996 by Etienne Loew, coming from a family with a rich history dating back to the 18th century. The estate of 6.5 hectares is spread out on 5 villages, with many various terroirs, but all the same subsoil of marl. Etienne is very attached to the protection of his land: the estate has been farmed biodynamically since 1996.
Presentation
First the Romans, then the hermits of the Bruderbach found an exceptional cru here. Clos surrounded by walls with a gate, with all the characteristics of a great terroir. The hermits of Bruderbach established the first production charter in 1260.
Winemaking
Hand-harvested, indigenous yeasts only. Nature wine. Harvested only in fruit days, according to the Biodynamic calendar. Fermented all winter with ageing on lees until summer.
