Fontarèche takes its name from Latin « fonte erecto » (the fountain that springs up). It is one of the oldest estates in Corbières. In the inventory of the archbishopric of Narbonne, we reveal the presence of vineyards at Fontarèche from 1350. There are 17 varietals in Fontarèche: traditional Carignan, Syrah, Grenache, Mourvèdre for red wine, le Picpoul noir for our rose wines and Roussanne, Grena-che blanc, Macabeu et Bourboulenc for whites.
