The Story

Nestled between the Sainte-Victoire moutain and Sainte-Beaume, Château Grand Boise was created in 1610 and has 400 years of history. Jean Simonet worked really hard to reshape the vineyard and bring biodiversity back into and round the wines. The typicity of this estate is the location : high in altitude (between 1000 and 2000ft high) and situated between mountains and forests, which lead to high thermal range (about 70°F difference between day and night, all year long). The vineyard of 30 hectares is surrounded by a vast 400 hectares estate of forest, and is divided between 77 plots of unique terroirs (pink marble being one of them) : it has been certified organic and biodynamic for years, and Jean only works with indigenous yeasts. s. The production is split up with 40% rosés, 30% reds and 30% white/sparklings : overall this is not a classic Provence estate, and each wine produced is mindblowing.
