The Story

Domaine de la Croisée is the fruit of an encouter : Nolwenn and Matthieu Maudry, two lovers of wine, vines, and nature. They met in 2016 : Matthieu, being from a family winery in Pouilly-Fumé, decided go back to his family roots and had the opportunity in 2019 to acquire a small vineyard. The estate of 8.5 hectares in the heart of Pouilly-Fumé was neglected for a long-time : Matthieu and Nolwenn worked hard to restore the charming plot. Matthieu is committed to a strong environmental and human approach and immediately started the organic farming certification process : thanks to its position at the confluence of several terroirs in the Pouilly Fumé appellation, its wines offer a unique typicity. Most of the plots are close to woods, hedges or streams, contributing to a very lively environment. It's not unusual to come across a deer, partridge or pheasant between two rows of vines! In keeping with the philosophy of expressing the terroir's sincerity, fermentation is carried out naturally using the indigenous yeasts already present in the grapes.
