The Story

Parnay, not far from Saumur, 1983 harvest. Éric Charruau learns in the footsteps of his father Jean-Pierre. The vineyards are a family history : their research led them ten generations back in time, in 1722, when it all started. Now accompanied by his son in 2021, they continue this work in organic culture to give life to wines reflecting all the complexity of the Saumur terroirs. The vineyard is composed of 30 hectares around Parnay, on a terroir of clay, silicas, and subsoils of tufa stone : the work of the vines is based on the cycles of nature and the fauna living in this ecosystem.
